Science Fair - Friday, February 24th - This is just a reminder of our upcoming Science Fair. In January students in Kindergarten through Sixth Grade completed a step by step grade level Science Fair project. This was a valuable learning experience for those students. It was our intention to model and help prepare students for their own project. Students in Fourth - Sixth are required to turn in a project and will receive a grade. Students in Kindergarten - Third may enter a project and will receive a participation grade, but it is not required. All projects must arrive before 8:10am on Friday, February 24, 2012.
ITBS Testing - All students, except for PreK, will be taking achievement tests. Testing will be Monday - Thursday during the weeks of February 27th and March 5th. Please try to avoid appointments or trips during these times.
Group Pictures - Picture day is set for Tuesday, February 21st. Students are to wear their school uniforms.
Make Up Day - On January 27th school was closed due to a break in a main water line. The make up day for this will be Friday, June 1, 2012. This will mean that the last day of school for this school year is Friday, June 1, 2012. It will be awards day and we will have noon dismissal.
Service Hours - Those families needing to meet their service hour requirements for the school year 2011 - 2012 will have the following opportunities:
- Brochure sales
- Butter Braid Sales
- Parking cars for the Galveston County Fair & Rodeo
- Church Bazaar - Sunday, May 6th
Please continue to save and pass onto the school, all Campbell Soup labels and clips of "Box Tops." We recently received a check for $500 from "Box Tops." Thank you!

Step for Students Marathon - Saturday, February 18th at the University of Houston - Robertson Stadium.
