Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School hosted an Alumni "Party on the Pavilion" at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish grounds, located at 10114 Hwy. 6, between Hitchcock and Santa Fe, on August 2nd. Over 70 alumni and guests enjoyed photos and music from recent years through years dating back to 1964 -- the year the school opened. Following a school tour, the group listened to brief history of the school and shared experiences. New principal, Earl Routh, Jr. briefed the gathering about the history and strengths of a Catholic Christian education. He continued with the state of the school today. Alumni provided an overwhelmingly positive response to the idea of forming an Our Lady of Lourdes Alumni Association and will plan an inaugural meeting this September.

Alumni visited with several previous and current teachers including Sr. Carmel, Sr. Joyce Anne, Mrs. Slanina and Mrs. Sireno. Alumni prizes were: Oldest Alunmi-Anthony Cargile; Youngest Alumni-Miranda Catching; Traveled the Farthest-Michelle Konecny; Longest Married-Michael Carr; Longest Military Service-Eric Werner; and Alumni Couple-Tom Cassano, Jr. and Nancy (Gordy) Cassano.

In case you missed it, here are some pictures of the fun.  Maybe we'll see you next year!
